Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III expressed confidence in the leadership of newly-installed House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III.
In an interview, Sotto praised Dy’s credibility and track record, saying he is certain the relationship between the House of Representatives and the Senate will remain strong under Dy’s leadership.
He also assured the public that both he and Speaker Dy will make sure there are no delays in the passage of the 2026 national budget.
“He has a very good (track) record, he’s been Vice Mayor, Mayor, Congressman, Governor, Vice Governor, Congressman ulit and in all those years, no bad record,” Sotto said.
Sotto and Dy were once partymates under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), where Sotto served as Chairman, before Dy transferred to the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), the party of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
