MALACAÑANG: FULL SUPPORT FOR DY, RESPECT FOR HOUSE INDEPENDENCE

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s administration declared it is fully prepared to cooperate with the House of Representatives under its new leader, Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III.

In a statement, Malacañang assured the public that the Palace will work with the lower chamber to ensure the swift passage of the administration’s legislative priorities.

“The President recognizes the vital role of the House of Representatives, especially at a time when the public demands visible results and Congress is called upon to take active steps that address people’s concerns and deliver real improvements in daily life,” Malacañang said.

The Palace also emphasized its respect for the independence of both the House of Representatives and the executive branch, while acknowledging the contributions of former Speaker and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez during his tenure as House leader.

“We now look forward to working with Speaker Faustino Dy III to advance measures that strengthen the economy, ensure basic services, and protect our democracy,” the Palace added.

Malacañang further assured the public that the Marcos administration remains committed to working with lawmakers in both the House and the Senate — allies or not — in order to fulfill its promise of uplifting the lives of every Filipino.
