Last night’s VIBE was nothing short of powerful and solid—uniting music with a deeper purpose. As the nation marked its continuing fight against corruption and remembered its hard-earned freedom, VIBE amplified the call through performances that spoke directly to the heart of Filipinos.
The night opened with an inspiring performance by Vibe Jocks Ana, Dylan, Maxie, Ryle and Gen Vs Baileys and Carmela, who delivered a stirring rendition of Asin’s classic hit “Balita.” The energy only grew stronger as Lolita Carbon and the Asin band took the stage with timeless anthems carrying sharp messages for today’s realities.
They performed “Ang Buhay Ko,” “Magnanakaw,” and “Masdan Mo Ang Kapaligiran.” In a fiery moment, Lolita Carbon declared: “Para sa mga kurakot, tigilan na natin yan. Huliin na natin ang magnanakaw!”
The performance resonated deeply with viewers, proving once again that OPM can both entertain and awaken.
Uprising and OG Segments Bring Fresh and Classic Hits
On the UPRISING stage, Le John premiered his latest track “Naiilang,” sharing that he writes songs so listeners can relate to real-life experiences. Meanwhile, in the OG segment, Men Oppose—requested via FB Messenger—performed “Kasalanan Ba,” much to the delight of fans.
Main Vibe Countdown Heats Up
The excitement rose as the Top 10 Main Vibe was revealed, with STELL’s “Classic” securing the top spot for three consecutive weeks. Performances from Ryle (“Trahe de Borda”) and Amiel Sol (“Di Na Akin”) highlighted the stage, both artists expressing gratitude for the chance to perform live on VIBE.
Capping off the night, OPM icon Randy Santiago brought the house down with “Paikot-ikot” and fan-requested favorite “Babaero,” through 105.9 True FM’s Heart2Heart. Randy also invited everyone to watch out for the launch of Sing Galing: Sing-Lebrity Edition, premiering this weekend.
