ANDRES MUHLACH AND ASHTINE OLVIGA’S FIRST FILM CONTINUES STRONG CINEMA RUN

The first-ever film of fast-rising loveteam Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga, known as AshDres, continues to draw strong crowds nationwide.

On Saturday, September 27, Ashtine personally visited several Metro Manila cinemas to thank fans who lined up to watch their debut movie, Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna.

According to industry sources, the film’s three-day earnings may have already reached more or less ₱15 million, despite being affected by Typhoon Opong which battered much of Luzon and Visayas.

The same sources noted that the movie could still hit the ₱50 million mark during its theatrical run—a positive sign at a time when many local films struggle to compete with foreign titles dominating Philippine cinemas.

Observers also pointed out that earnings may climb even higher if the so-called “word-of-mouth effect” kicks in, a factor that propelled other Filipino films like Heneral Luna, 100 Tula Para Kay Stella, and GomBurZa to major box-office success.

For now, official box office figures from VIVA Films, the movie’s producer, are still awaited.

“MINAMAHAL” MUSIC VIDEO

Meanwhile, VIVA Records released the official music video for “Minamahal,” featuring Andres and Ashtine.

Some fans remarked that instead of a typical music video, it looked more like a “prenup shoot” with the pair’s undeniable chemistry on full display.

This marks the second music video featuring AshDres, following their earlier appearance in rising OPM artist Amiel Sol’s hit “Sa Bawat Sandali,” which has already surpassed 23 million views on YouTube. The newly released “Minamahal” MV, on the other hand, has already reached over 131,000 views.

Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna is currently showing in more than 200 cinemas nationwide.
