TRILLANES: ICC WARRANTS VS. BATO DELA ROSA, BONG GO MAY COME OUT IN EARLY 2026

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said that the International Criminal Court (ICC) may issue arrest warrants against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa and Senator Bong Go as early as next year.

In an interview, Trillanes shared that he expects the warrants to be released in the first half of 2026.

“‘Yung warrant [mula sa ICC], ang ine-expect na lang natin ay dalawa. Isa kay Bato [Dela Rosa], isa para kay Bong Go…Ang estimate ko diyan, baka mga early next year pa,” Trillanes said, speaking from The Hague, Netherlands, where the ICC headquarters is located.

Dela Rosa, who served as the first chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) under former President Rodrigo Duterte, oversaw the initial implementation of the bloody war on drugs. Go, meanwhile, was Duterte’s longtime aide dating back to his years as Davao City mayor.

In response, dela Rosa quickly lashed out at Trillanes, declaring he was ready to face the ICC.

“Go ahead! Make my day, Mr. Trillanes! Sige lang, ngalngal ka ng ngalngal diyan ng ICC, ICC… kahit sumama ka pa sa pag-serve ng warrant, ikaw pa mismo ang magposas sa akin,” dela Rosa said.

Go has yet to respond but has repeatedly maintained in the past that he had no role in Duterte’s drug war operations.

Former President Duterte is currently detained at the ICC’s Scheveningen Prison in The Hague, facing three counts of murder charges over his administration’s bloody campaign against illegal drugs.
