DANIEL PADILLA WINS OUTSTANDING ASIAN STAR AT SEOUL DRAMA AWARDS 2025

Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla proudly accepted his Outstanding Asian Star Award at the 2025 Seoul Drama Awards, held Thursday, October 2, at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea.

Dressed in a sharp black suit and sporting tinted glasses, Padilla went onstage to personally receive the recognition for his portrayal of Andres Malvar, also known as Wolf, in the ABS-CBN action-drama series Incognito.

In his speech, the actor thanked God, his Incognito family, ABS-CBN, his loved ones, and his loyal fans who voted and stood by him throughout his career.

“Mama, I made it. To all the fans, thank you for your continuous support and unwavering love. Kayo ang dahilan bakit ako nandito,” Padilla said, drawing cheers from the audience.

This win marks a milestone for Padilla, who was first nominated at the Seoul Drama Awards in 2023 for 2 Good 2 Be True, his hit romantic-comedy series with Kathryn Bernardo.

Padilla joins this year’s roster of winners alongside Asia’s brightest stars:

  • Kim Seon Ho (The Tyrant) and Jisoo (Newtopia) from South Korea
  • Sakaguchi Kentaro (What Comes After Love) from Japan
  • Bai Yu (Bank on Me) from China
  • Film Rachanun Mahawan (Pluto) from Thailand
  • Anna Jobling (Dear Love) from Malaysia

Meanwhile, Incognito recently concluded its first season after six months on air, with a finale that hinted at a possible season two. The series also aired on TV5 and featured a powerhouse ensemble cast: Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, Kaila Estrada, Maris Racal, and Anthony Jennings.

The Outstanding Asian Star Award is determined through fan votes. Last year, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu took home the honor for her performance in Linlang.
