Kapamilya award-winning actor Jericho Rosales opened up about his preparation for portraying former President Manuel Luis Quezon in the upcoming historical film Quezon.
During the media conference for the film on Tuesday, October 7, Rosales detailed the challenges of transforming into the second President of the Republic of the Philippines and the first President of the Commonwealth.

“The hardest part was for everyone, just as same, papaano kami pupunta dun sa… una, sa hitsura nung mga karakter, and it took you know sessions, more than 5 sessions of 8 or 9 hours of look test and prosthetics, almost 10,” Rosales said.
Karylle, who plays Doña Aurora Quezon, shared how she prepared for the role of the former First Lady.
“He (Jericho) gave me a book on Aurora Quezon na I really studied so ang daming nakasulat doon, about her, she was (a) humanitarian, she brought Red Cross to the Philippines… siguro dito sa film makikita mo yung masalimuot na relationship nilang mag-asawa na hindi siya doormat, na andun sya pero yung tiwala nila sa isa’t-isa because they value education so much in their home,” Karylle explained.
Quezon is the third installment in the “BAYANIverse” by award-winning director Jerrold Tarog, following the box-office hits Heneral Luna starring John Arcilla and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral starring Paulo Avelino.
The film will be released nationwide in theaters by TBA Studios starting October 15, Wednesday.
