SUNTAY CLARIFIES: “IT WASN’T A VAPE, IT’S A BREATHEASY”

Quezon City 4th District Representative Jesus “Bong” Suntay has denied allegations that he was vaping inside the House of Representatives, clarifying that the device he was seen holding was not a vape.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, October 11, Suntay said what he was using during the congressional hearing was a Breatheasy, not an electronic cigarette.

The clarification came after lawyer and political scientist Atty. Jesus Falcis called out Suntay on social media for allegedly vaping during the budget hearing for the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Falcis questioned the act, saying, “Ang alam ko, bawal ang smoking sa House of Representatives under Section 98 of its Rules. Ang vaping ba, hindi din bawal?”
