The administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. saw a significant decline in public approval across nearly all major national issues — including the fight against corruption, inflation, illegal drugs, and poverty — according to the latest Pulse Asia Research survey conducted from September 27 to 30, 2025.
Among the 15 key issues surveyed, the administration scored its highest approval rating in protecting the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at 58%. It also earned 46% for its response to areas affected by natural disasters and 43% for defending Philippine territory against foreign intrusions.
However, approval ratings dropped in 10 out of the 15 national issues, with the most significant decline recorded in the fight against graft and corruption, which plunged by 52 percentage points.
Other areas that registered lower public satisfaction include job creation (-1%), promotion of peace (-2%), law enforcement (-5%), wage increase for workers (-7%), crime prevention (-13%), efforts to curb hunger (-18%), poverty reduction (-39%), anti-drug campaign (-42%), and inflation control (-48%).
The survey results reflect growing public concern over the government’s handling of economic and social challenges, especially as inflation and poverty continue to weigh heavily on Filipino households.
