Senate Deputy Minority Leader Joel Villanueva has once again denied any involvement in the multi-billion peso flood control scam, reaffirming his commitment to serve God and the nation with integrity.
Speaking during the 47th anniversary celebration of the Jesus Is Lord (JIL) Church, Villanueva emphasized that he was, in fact, the first to expose the irregularities in the flood control projects, and that efforts to link him to the controversy were nothing more than political attacks.
He maintained that no amount of money could ever shake his principles or his dedication to serve both God and the Filipino people with honesty.
The senator further claimed that he holds “receipts” or evidence that prove his integrity, but added that his faith remains his strongest defense.
He said that as long as God is on their side, no person, circumstance, or force could stand in the way of truth and the mission he shares with his fellow believers in the JIL community.
