Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has filed a case before the Office of the Ombudsman against former President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Bong Go.
According to reports on Tuesday, October 21, Trillanes’ complaint centers on the alleged involvement of Duterte and Go in multi-billion peso infrastructure projects awarded to CLTG Builders and Alfrego Builders, firms owned by the senator’s father and brother. The two companies were also implicated in the same complaint.
Trillanes claimed that Go’s close ties with the former president enabled the awarding of around ₱7 billion worth of government projects to the said construction firms.
As of this writing, Trillanes has yet to issue an official statement regarding the case he filed against the four respondents.
