House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III on Wednesday, October 22, made public his Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN), declaring a total net worth of ₱74 million.
In the same announcement, Dy revealed the establishment of the SALN Review and Compliance Committee in the House of Representatives. The new body will craft and enforce guidelines on the public disclosure of lawmakers’ SALNs, in accordance with Republic Act 6713, or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
According to his declaration, Dy listed ₱32.53 million worth of real assets, which include 11 agricultural lots, one residential lot, and three residential houses. Of his 15 real properties, two agricultural lots and two residential houses were inherited.
The Speaker also declared ₱88.6 million in personal properties, consisting of ₱27.5 million in investments, ₱25 million in cash, and ₱12 million worth of jewelry and other personal effects. Additionally, he declared ₱10 million for warehouse and farm improvements, a ₱3.6 million Toyota Alphard van, a ₱2.8 million Toyota LC 76 Series, and other personal assets.
His total liabilities were reported at ₱47.1 million, composed of ₱40 million in accounts payable and ₱7.124 million in agricultural loans.
Apart from Dy, several other lawmakers also released their 2024 SALNs, including Akbayan Party-list Representatives Chel Diokno, Percival Cendaña, and Dadah Ismula, Dinagat Islands Rep. Arlene “Kaka” Bag-ao, ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. Antonio Tinio, Gabriela Party-list Rep. Sarah Elago, Kabataan Party-list Rep. Renee Co, and Cavite 4th District Rep. Kiko Barzaga.
