TIANGCO REVEALS ALLEGED “PROJECT SELLING” AMONG LAWMAKERS

Navotas City Lone District Representative Toby Tiangco has revealed that several lawmakers have allegedly experienced “project selling,” but many choose to remain silent out of fear of being implicated in the issue.

In a recent interview, Tiangco claimed that budget insertions are being made in certain districts that did not request additional projects, supposedly in exchange for monetary consideration.

The Navotas lawmaker further revealed that he was also offered a project in 2023 for the 2024 national budget. Tiangco said he requested ₱200 million for the construction of multi-purpose buildings in Navotas but withdrew after learning that the offer came with a 10% kickback.

Iisipin no’n, humihingi si Congressman Toby ng dyis, di ba,” he explained.

Tiangco’s statements come amid renewed discussions on alleged irregularities and corruption in the allocation of government projects and public funds.
