The Philippine National Police (PNP) is set to deploy more than 30,000 police officers across the country from October 29 to November 3 as part of its security measures for Undas 2025.
During the PNP’s flag-raising ceremony at Camp Crame on Monday, October 27, PNP Acting Chief Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. assured the public that their deployment plan is fully prepared to ensure the peaceful observance of the annual holiday.
“Our PNP deployment plan is already in place, in close coordination with our partners with the LGUs and other government agencies,” Nartatez said.
He added, “Around 30,000 PNP personnel will be deployed nationwide.”
Police forces will be stationed in crowded areas such as cemeteries, transport terminals, and major public spaces to maintain order and assist the public during the long weekend.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has also placed around 2,403 personnel on full deployment to help manage heavy traffic and the expected influx of visitors across Metro Manila starting October 29.
In coordination with the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), Department of Transportation (DOTr), North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), and South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), the MMDA and PNP agreed to set up help desks and deploy traffic personnel at major bus terminals and cemeteries from October 29 to November 3.
