ICI DENIES INVITING SEN. BONG GO AS RESOURCE PERSON

The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) has denied claims that it summoned Senator Bong Go to appear as a resource person in its ongoing investigation.

The clarification came after former Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV publicly shared information he received alleging that the commission had invited Go to participate in its proceedings.

However, according to reports on Tuesday, October 28, ICI Executive Director Brian Keith Hosaka refuted the claim, stressing that no such invitation was ever issued.

“No invitation has been sent by the commission to Senator Bong Go to appear as resource person,” Hosaka said.

It can be recalled that the ICI has formally received the complaint filed by Trillanes against Go and former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Prior to that, Trillanes had already lodged a separate case before the Office of the Ombudsman against the two, along with Go’s father and brother.

The complaint revolves around alleged irregularities in multi-billion peso infrastructure projects awarded to CLTG Builders and Alfrego Builders, firms reportedly owned by Go’s family.
