DPWH ORDERS ROAD REPAIRS IN MANILA AHEAD OF UNDAS

As part of preparations for the Undas observance, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon has ordered the immediate repair of damaged roads in key areas of Manila.

According to the DPWH, maintenance and repair works have begun on several routes leading to the Manila North Cemetery, particularly along Blumentritt Road, Aurora Avenue, Laon Laan, and Dimasalang Streets.

The initiative forms part of the department’s “Lakbay Alalay” Program, which aims to ensure smooth and safe travel for motorists and commuters during the holiday.

Dizon has also directed all regional and district engineering offices nationwide to expedite ongoing repair and maintenance operations, including Operation Zero Potholes and the installation of lane markings, to guarantee orderly traffic flow for travelers heading to their respective provinces and cemeteries.
