The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a warning to the public about a fake Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) Portal website that has been circulating online.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, October 28, the agency described the site as part of a “phishing scam” designed to deceive users through fraudulent messages.
“The fake website is a form of phishing scam often received through text messages claiming you have a traffic violation, containing a link that directs you to the fake LTMS portal,” the LTO said.
The agency clarified that it does not send text messages containing links or notifications about traffic violations.
To help the public verify legitimate sources, the LTO also shared the official links to its genuine websites and urged everyone to report any suspicious activity or scams to their office immediately.
