The Bureau of Immigration (BI) is anticipating a significant increase in passenger volume across all international airports during the upcoming Undas and long weekend period, from October 31 until the first week of November.
In preparation, the agency assured the public that all immigration counters will be fully staffed to ensure smooth processing for both arriving and departing travelers.
“Our officers will be working round-the-clock to accommodate the influx of passengers during the Undas break,” said BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado.
He also advised travelers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their flight to avoid delays and ensure a hassle-free travel experience.
Viado noted that while ongoing construction and facility upgrades at some airports may cause minor inconveniences, BI operations will remain uninterrupted.
“The Bureau is coordinating closely with airport authorities to ensure that despite construction and facility upgrades, services remain uninterrupted,” he stated.
“We ask for the public’s patience and understanding as these improvements are meant to enhance the overall airport experience,” Viado added.
The BI also urged travelers to check the agency’s official Facebook page for real-time updates on passenger traffic before heading to the airport.
