The Department of Health (DOH) announced that it will remain under Code White Alert status until November 2, ensuring full readiness of its hospitals and health personnel during the nationwide observance of Undas (All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days).
Under the alert status, all DOH hospitals, as well as central and regional offices, are on standby to respond to any emergencies related to the heavy public activity in cemeteries and public areas.
Two fully-equipped level 3 ambulances have also been stationed at the Manila North Cemetery and Manila South Cemetery to provide immediate transport for patients who may need urgent medical attention.
Health Secretary Ted Herbosa reminded the public to continue practicing good hygiene and preventive health measures, especially as the flu season continues.
