The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has completed printing more than half of the over 90 million official ballots needed for the November 2, 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Wednesday that since October 17, the poll body has already produced around 50 million ballots.
“The COMELEC is more than halfway through printing our ballots for the Barangay and SK Elections. Even though our elections are still on Nov. 2 [2026], we have decided to start printing the ballots,” Garcia said in an interview.
According to him, the printing process—which also covers other accountable forms—is being carried out at the National Printing Office (NPO) in Quezon City and is expected to finish by next week.
Of the total, 69 million ballots are allotted for barangay polls while 23 million will be used for the SK elections.
Garcia added that the COMELEC is preparing to begin printing ballots for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections by February 2026.
The BARMM polls were initially scheduled for October 13 but were later rescheduled—by order of the Supreme Court—to be held no later than March 31, 2026.
