Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco has called out the House of Representatives for not disclosing the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) allocations for each lawmaker under the 2026 General Appropriations Bill (GAB).
Tiangco said he first asked the House Committee on Appropriations on October 13 to publish the allocations on the official House website, the same day the 2026 budget was approved on third and final reading. He followed up with another letter on October 20 to Chairperson Mika Suansing but received no response.
“Pero hanggang ngayon, wala pa ring nakapost. Bakit ba ayaw i-post ito? Ano ba ’yong tinatago? Kung hindi nila pinost ’to, hindi totoo ’yong sinasabing transparency,” Tiangco said.
He cited Republic Act 6713, which requires officials to respond to requests within 15 working days.
“Lampas na yung 15 days at dapat may sagot na siya (Suansing) sa akin. But as of now, wala pa ring sagot at wala pa ring publication sa website ng Congress kung ano ’yong budget per district at party-list,” he added.
Tiangco said publishing the list would show which representatives backed specific projects. He also flagged two ₱3-million projects in Navotas whose proponents remain unknown, as no local office claimed to have requested them.
