Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa issued a sharp comparison between the supposed “sins” attributed to him and former president Rodrigo Duterte, and the alleged wrongdoing tied to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and former House Speaker and Leyte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, November 16, Dela Rosa appeared to challenge the Philippine National Police (PNP), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on who should truly be held accountable.
“PRRD/Bato’s sin: Keeping your children & community safe from drugs & crime,” he wrote.
This was followed by his pointed comparison: “BBM/Martin’s sin: Stealing your children’s future by pocketing billions of taxpayers money.”
He then ended with a provocative question directed at law enforcement and the military: “PNP/NBI/AFP: Sino dapat hulihin?”
Dela Rosa’s statement comes on the heels of former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co’s explosive allegation that Marcos and Romualdez were behind ₱100 billion worth of supposed budget insertions in the national budget — a claim now fueling fresh political tension and public scrutiny.
