PBBM VISITS ALBAY TO ENSURE RELIEF REACHES TYPHOON-HIT COMMUNITIES

President Bongbong Marcos on Tuesday visited Albay to oversee aid distribution in communities affected by Super Typhoon Uwan. He inspected Cararayan-Naga Elementary School (CNES) in Tiwi, where 157 students have been displaced and classrooms severely damaged.

The President interacted with students attending classes in temporary setups and coordinated with Cabinet officials and LGUs to ensure sustained relief and rehabilitation.

The Office of the President delivered Starlink units for CNES and Tiwi Central School, 343 school bags, snacks, and learning materials via the Department of Education.

Damage assessments revealed seven classrooms with major damage worth ₱3.5 million, eight minor-damaged classrooms worth ₱392,000, three demolished WASH facilities, and the loss of 200 learning resources and 50 desks.

Government support also includes ₱10,263 in emergency cash transfers and family, hygiene, and kitchen kits for all 141 families whose homes were completely destroyed.
