Despite admitting that pressure comes with the territory, fastest-rising loveteam and Kapatid stars Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga shared that they choose to set it aside so it won’t affect their work.
This was the response of the duo when asked during the media conference for the second season of “Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side”, held yesterday, November 18 (Tuesday) at VIVA Café.
Ashtine expressed: “May pressure oo, pero tina-try ko sya i-set aside kasi ako, hindi talaga ako yung tipo ng tao na nagwo-work ng maayos kapag under pressure so ako, ang nilalagay ko sa utak ko na kailangan ko lang mag-enjoy tapos ibigay ko yung best ko kasi pag binigay ko yung best ko, kahit ano namang outcome i think okay na ko dun.”
Meanwhile, Andres agreed and emphasized the importance of enjoying the journey: “Yun nga din, talagang it’s all about enjoying the process kasi i feel that kapag… whether any project you do, if everyone really is connecting and enjoying what they’re doing, and everyone’s having a good time, feeling ko talaga nagta-translate yan sa screen and i really believe in the whole process of collaborating with everyone.”
For critically acclaimed film director Petersen Vargas, who directs the second season of the groundbreaking 2025 digital series, working with the rising loveteam is an honor.
He shared: “Yun nga, actually, natutuwa ako kasi parang, i think, when i got to work with DonBelle, that was after the success of He’s Into Her so eto, after din ng success ng Mutya ng Section E so i really see their drive and parang when you get upclose kasi dun sa magic of what makes them successful, ang priceless din.”
Vargas also expressed hope that he will have the opportunity to collaborate with Andres and Ashtine again on future projects.
Vargas is known for directing the 2022 film “An Inconvenient Love”, starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.
“Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side” Part 1 premieres on December 4 on VIVA One, while Part 2 will follow on June 11.
