President Bongbong Marcos released another video statement on Friday, November 21, updating the public on the cases filed against former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co and 17 other individuals linked to alleged anomalies in flood control projects.
“This is another report that I am doing so the public may know what is happening regarding the flood-control cases that became a scandal […]” the President began.
According to Marcos, the Office of the Ombudsman has formally filed charges based on evidence endorsed by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Marcos also displayed a copy of the list of accused individuals without naming them one by one.
He added that authorities are now preparing to enforce the next phase of the process.
The President vowed to see the process through and assured the public that the government is committed to resolving the issue.
