The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) revealed that Cassandra Ong—one of the personalities linked to the previous illegal operations of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs)—was last traced to Japan.
According to reports, PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio said they were able to track Ong in Japan as early as January.
“‘Yon ang last namin nakuha na Japan,” Casio said during a forum on Saturday, November 22. “After that we have no more idea where she went.”
“I am pretty certain it was the first quarter of this year kasi lumabas ang kaniyang warrant basta March or May. First quarter ang last namin na-track,” he added.
Casio also confirmed that there is already a “red notice” issued by the International Police Organization or Interpol against Ong.
On Friday, November 21, Senator Win Gatchalian disclosed during the Senate’s Department of Justice (DOJ) budget hearing that Ong has long been out of detention.
Meanwhile, the Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 167 found former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo—also known as Guo Hua Ping—guilty of Qualified Trafficking in Persons in connection with her alleged involvement in POGO operations at the Baofu Compound.
