Vice President Sara Duterte personally visited families affected by Typhoon Tino in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, as shown in photos she shared on Facebook on Saturday, November 22. She said she went to Himamaylan National High School last week to meet evacuees.

She added that the Office of the Vice President, through its Panay and Negros Island Satellite Office, delivered assistance to displaced residents.

“Sa pangunguna ng Office of the Vice President, Panay and Negros Island Satellite Office, nagpaabot tayo ng tulong sa mga pansamantalang evacuees sa naturang lugar.”
Duterte also recounted meeting Quincy, a woman celebrating her birthday inside the evacuation center.
Sabay namin siyang inawitan ng maligayang pagbati sa kanyang kaarawan,” she said.
She ended her message with words of encouragement: “Patuloy tayong maging matatag sa gitna ng mga pagsubok.
Typhoon Tino heavily affected Cebu and nearby provinces on November 3, with casualties rising to 224 and 109 reported missing as of the Nov. 9, 2025 6:00 a.m. report of the Office of Civil Defense.
