Former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co on Tuesday claimed that Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos engineered his removal as chair of the House Committee on Appropriations and repeatedly inserted billions into the national budget.
In his latest video exposé, Co alleged that: “Hindi lang po ang Pangulo ang may insertion sa budget. Pati po si Cong. Sandro Marcos meron din pong pinapasok taon-taon.”
He further claimed that Sandro secured ₱9.636 billion in 2023, ₱20.174 billion in 2024, and ₱21.127 billion in 2025—a total of ₱50.938 billion.
According to Co, congressional contractors told him that Sandro became furious during discussions on the 2025 national budget.
“Ang sabi daw niya ipatatanggal ako at magpa-file ng maraming kaso laban sa akin kasi kulang ng ₱8 billion ‘yung insertion na gusto niyang ipasok,” he said.
Co also alleged that contractors informed him of Sandro’s frustration, claiming “may mga contractor na nakapag-advance na sa kanya at dahil hindi naipasok ang buong halaga kailangan daw niyang magsauli sa mga ‘yun.”
The accusations add another layer to the escalating conflict surrounding alleged budget irregularities and internal House politics.
