SANDRO MARCOS HITS BACK AT ZALDY CO OVER ALLEGED ₱50.9B INSERTIONS

Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative and House Majority Leader Ferdinand “Sandro” Marcos rejected the allegations made against him by former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co, who claimed in a new video statement that Marcos had ₱50.938 billion in supposed budget insertions.

Responding to Co’s accusations, Sandro — the eldest son of President Bongbong Marcos, who was likewise implicated in the alleged questionable insertions — dismissed the claims as blatant falsehoods.

“Anyone can sit in front of a camera from abroad and spew lies. The statements from the newly crowned champion of the DDS cabal, former Congressman Zaldy Co, are frankly as fantastical as they are false,” he said.

Marcos urged the public not to believe Co, saying the former lawmaker’s only intention is to destabilize the government.

“I hope that the public can be reminded that we are talking of a person with no credibility whose vested interests are to release these videos to destabilize the government,” he stated.

He further added: “This is someone who our kababayan’s know to be the architect of this mess yet continues to insult their intelligence by saying ‘wala siyang nakuha’.”

Marcos also accused Co of seeking to topple the current administration as a way to escape his own legal troubles.

“Evidently, the only path he sees for himself is one where he stirs political chaos in the hope of escaping his own legal troubles,” he said.

“Gusto niyang pabagsakin ang kasalukuyang administrasyon para ma-abswelto siya sa kanyang mga krimen,” he concluded.
