Malacañang on Friday said the government is fully prepared for another large-scale anticorruption rally as the Philippine National Police (PNP) deploys more than 15,000 officers for the November 30 Bonifacio Day protest.
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the administration is bolstering security measures amid surging public outrage sparked by President Bongbong Marcos’ flood control exposé.
“Pangatlo na nga po itong rally so handa na po ang PNP pagdating diyan,” Castro said, noting that more than 50,000 participants were expected as attendance continued to swell in the previous two actions.
Castro said the National Capital Region Police Office (PNP-NCRPO) is now on full alert, emphasizing the need for “maximum police presence” to maintain peace and order throughout the demonstrations.
The November 30 mobilization marks the latest in a series of mass actions calling for transparency, accountability, and a tougher stance against corruption as the government probes allegedly rigged flood control projects. Earlier protests have been joined by youth groups, labor organizations, religious institutions, and civil society networks.
