The TV5 hit series “Ang Mutya ng Section E” has once again proven its status as a ground-breaking and phenomenal hit this year.
The show secured a spot in Google’s list of “Most-Searched Shows or Series” in the Philippines for 2025, standing alongside major international titles such as “Squid Games,” “Bon Appetit, Your Majesty,” “Friendly Rivalry,” and “How To Tame A Silver Fox.”
It is also the only Filipino series to break into the Top 10 of the category.
Adding to its string of achievements, the series won Most Outstanding Streaming Platform Original Series at the 8th Gawad Lasallianeta Awards.
“Ang Mutya ng Section E” is also among TV5’s most-watched original content this year, according to Nielsen Philippine National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM).
Premiering in January 2025, the series introduced the breakout love team of Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga, popularly known as AshDres, marking the duo’s rise into mainstream recognition.
Season 2, titled “Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side,” is now streaming on VIVA One.
