Senator Robin Padilla has addressed the much-talked-about action film that was supposed to bring together four major action stars—himself, Kapamilya actor Coco Martin, Senator Lito Lapid, and former Senator Bong Revilla.
The project first made headlines on January 20, 2024, when Revilla posted a photo of the group on social media with the caption “Ayos na.”
Also in the photo were director Brillante Mendoza, Mark Lapid, and veteran actors Val Iglesias and Rez Cortez.
The film, intended for the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in December 2024 and to be produced by Imus Productions, ultimately failed to push through.
“Matutuloy na po sana yon. Nagkaanuhan lang sa mga role kung sino yung alam niyo na… typical na suliranin,” Robin said when asked about the canceled project.
The possibility of reviving the dream collaboration dimmed further due to Revilla’s current legal troubles.
Ombudsman Boying Remulla earlier confirmed that Revilla could possibly be arrested before Christmas in connection with a plunder case tied to alleged anomalies in flood control projects, where Revilla supposedly received kickbacks.
With these developments, the once-promising action film reunion remains unlikely to materialize anytime soon.
