EXPLOSIVE P-POP VIBES KICK OFF PASKONG KAPATID ON VIBE

Last Sunday’s VIBE delivered an explosive celebration as the show officially entered the Paskong Kapatid festivities—made even brighter by three of today’s most-loved P-POP groups taking over the stage. It was truly a P-POP Night to remember.

The night opened with timeless Christmas classics led by the beloved Vibe Jocks and Gen V. VIBE JOCKS Ana and Maxie charmed the crowd with Ryan Cayabyab’s “Kumukutikutitap,” joined by a surprise guest—Sam Concepcion.

Gen Vs Gab, Niko, and Vibe Jock Kych fired up the stage with their dance performance, while Gen Vs Carmela, birthday girl Selina, and Vibe Jock Carmela spread holiday cheer with Leo Valdez’s “Kampana Ng Simbahan.”

Adding more sparkle to the festivities, Vibe Jock Joao and Gen V Baileys performed Florante’s “Sino Si Santa Klaus,” followed by Vibe Jock Dylan’s heartfelt take on APO Hiking Society’s “Tuloy na Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Pasko.”

The night also celebrated two Gen V birthdays—Selina and Baileys—who both expressed their gratitude to TV5, MQuest, and VIBE for the opportunity and for celebrating with the Vibe family, wishing continued success for the show.

Then came one of Vibe’s most beloved segments—the OG segment—with Ms. Nanette Inventor shining onstage with “Salamat, Salamat Musika.”

Together with Vibe Jocks Ana and Maxie, Ms. Nanette brought laughter to the studio and shared her pride in how OPM has become a global showcase of Filipino artistry, noting that music has always been a part of our expression—especially in today’s issues.

The energy soared even higher as the Main Vibe segment began. AJAA returned to the stage with “DEDMA” ranking 10th. JC shared the inspiration behind the track.

Alam mo yung feeling na yung nag-eeffort ka palagi para mapansin ng taong gusto mo… wala pa rin kasi di ka niya pinapansin. Dinededma ka.” Alex also expressed his gratitude to the HANIES for their overwhelming support.

Next, DWTA made her Main Vibe debut with her newest release “LANGIT LUPA,” landing at the 2nd spot. She left fans with her playful message: “Siling Labyu, Ayyy! Siling Labuyo.”

Sharing the meaning behind the song, she said: “Tungkol sa mga taong hindi mapasakanila kahit anong gawin niyo… parang mga bias natin diba?”

Closing the Main Vibe was YES MY LOVE, heating up the stage with their novelty hit “Don Romantiko,” topping the rankings. Maxie expressed how much she loved the original, and even more now with the group’s reimagined version.

Gen V and YES MY LOVE member Niko also thanked Star Music for trusting them with the iconic Vhong Navarro track.

Before unveiling this week’s UPRISING winner, Kapatid rising star Ashtine Olviga made a surprise appearance to promote the MMFF 2025 entry “Manila’s Finest.”

She shared her excitement about the film: “Ito yung pelikulang malalim… yung set up niya is 1960s pero tinatackle na problem is the same pa rin ngayon.” She also teased a possible return on next Sunday’s VIBE.

Finally, the TOP UPRISING Star was revealed—the Fastest P-Pop Group 6ENSE, performing their smash hit “MUNI-MUNI,” earning 22.08%.

Leader Wiji, one of the song’s composers, revealed that the inspiration came from an X post: “Ang sarap magka-crush… pero kapag alam mo na wala kang chance.”

This sparked the idea of creating a song about having a “happy crush”—someone who already makes you happy just by existing.

Wrapping up the evening was a soulful OG finale by Diamond Asia’s Soul Siren NINA, performing her hit “SOMEDAY” and her heartfelt rendition of Gary V’s “Pasko Na Sinta Ko.”

Nina shared her gratitude for being invited to perform on the VIBE stage, adding how Pinoys deeply embrace emotion: “Mahugot… gusto natin maramdaman ang heartache… Ma-melanconic tayong Pilipino eh.”

It was indeed a VIBE episode bursting with energy, passion, and P-POP excellence—setting the tone for an even brighter, more festive Paskong Kapatid.
