MARCOS APPOINTS NEW LEADERS AT PHILPOST, MTRCB

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. appointed lawyer Kristjan Vicente Gargantiel as acting chairperson of the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost), marking another leadership change in the administration.

Dated November 27, 2025, Gargantiel’s appointment also makes him an acting member of the PhilPost Board of Directors.

Malacañang confirmed additional reshuffles at the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). PCO Undersecretary Claire Castro said Marcos has appointed Nestor Cuartero, Maria Rosario Fabregas, and Ma. Cecilia Villarosa to the MTRCB board.

Their appointments, signed on December 2, will run until September 30, 2026, replacing Jerry Talavera, Cherry Anne Espion, and Jan Marini Cadungog.

The MTRCB, under Presidential Decree 1986, reviews and classifies films, television shows, and audiovisual content, balancing public protection—particularly for minors—while supporting the Philippine entertainment industry.
