MARCOS SIGNS ONE-TIME ₱20,000 INCENTIVE FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has signed Administrative Order No. 40, granting a one-time service recognition incentive (SRI) of up to ₱20,000 to government employees.

The SRI covers personnel in the Executive branch, including civilian employees of national agencies, state universities and colleges, and government-owned or -controlled corporations, whether regular, contractual, or casual.

Military personnel under the AFP and uniformed personnel of the PNP, PPSC, BFP, BJMP, BOC, PCG, and NAMRIA are also included.

“The Administration recognizes all government employees for their collective and invaluable contributions to the government’s continuing efforts in pursuing the objectives, commitments, targets, and deliverables under the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 and the President’s 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda,” the order states.

Payments will be made from available 2025 personnel services budgets or, if necessary, from maintenance and other operating expenses.

Employees of GOCCs, LGUs, LWDs, and constitutional offices may also receive the incentive, with amounts based on financial capacity and budget limits.

Eligible employees must have rendered at least four months of service by November 30, 2025, with those serving less receiving a pro-rated SRI.

Recipients must not have received additional year-end benefits beyond those authorized under existing law.

The SRI payments are scheduled to begin no earlier than December 15, 2025.
