NNIC UNVEILS NEW FACILITIES AT NAIA TERMINAL 3

New NAIA Infra Corporation (NNIC) is set to officially launch new passenger facilities and systems at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, marking another phase of ongoing airport upgrades under the public-private partnership.

Among the key additions are biometric Immigration e-Gates, new food halls, and a Dignitaries Lounge. A total of 78 biometric e-Gates are being rolled out across NAIA, with systems already operational at Terminals 1 and 3.

Funded and delivered by NNIC, the technology allows eligible passengers to complete immigration clearance in about 20 seconds, easing congestion during peak travel periods through biometric verification and document authentication. The system is powered by global travel technology firm Amadeus.

NNIC will also open two major dining areas at Terminal 3. The All-Filipino Tambayan Food Hall spans 6,200 square meters, can accommodate up to 2,000 guests, and features 17 local brands highlighting regional Filipino cuisine. The Mezzanine Food Hall, covering 6,801 square meters, seats up to 600 guests and houses 22 stand-alone restaurants and cafés, expanding dining choices for travelers.

A new 200-square-meter Dignitaries Lounge will also be inaugurated, designed to host up to 61 guests and provide a more suitable venue for official engagements while showcasing Filipino hospitality.

In addition, NNIC is preparing to open an airside Food Village at Terminal 3 for departing passengers, featuring a mix of local and international brands, with more outlets set to open progressively.

Similar upgrades are underway in other NAIA terminals to improve passenger flow and consistency across the airport.

“This shows how this partnership with the government is delivering improvements that the public can actually see and feel. As we enter the new year, we look forward to continuing this work and building on what is already in place,” NNIC President Ramon Ang said.

The NAIA public-private partnership has generated over ₱57 billion in remittances to the government so far, with more upgrades expected in the coming months.
