MANILA RELEASES ₱649M IN ASSISTANCE AND INCENTIVES

The City of Manila announced on Monday the release of nearly ₱649 million in cash assistance and incentives for students, city employees, health workers, and contract personnel.

Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso said ₱302.18 million will go to permanent city employees, who will receive ₱7,000 for medical allowance, ₱5,000 for Productivity Enhancement Incentive, and a ₱10,000 Service Recognition Incentive, with payouts scheduled from December 15 to 23.

Meanwhile, ₱66 million will be distributed as gratuity pay for job order and contract of service workers, granting ₱7,000 each.

Health workers will receive ₱128.13 million in PhilHealth shares for collections from July to November 2025, with an additional ₱100 million for medical and non-medical staff, barangay health workers, nutrition scholars, and support personnel.

Under the College Student Assistance Program, ₱46.03 million will benefit 18,235 students of the Universidad de Manila and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, covering allowances from July to September 2025.

Another ₱6.5 million will be released under the College Subsidy Program for the Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) for the third quarter of 2025.

Domagoso noted that the incentives come from taxpayer funds.
