ANNA LIZA LOGAN NAMED CHIEF PRESIDENTIAL LEGAL COUNSEL

Malacañang on Tuesday, December 16, announced the appointment of lawyer Anna Liza Logan as the new chief presidential legal counsel, succeeding former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, who passed away last month at the age of 101.

Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Logan will now serve as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s chief legal adviser. Logan previously served as deputy executive secretary for legal affairs at the Office of the President.

As chief presidential legal counsel, Logan is tasked to provide legal advice and assistance to the President and perform other functions assigned by the Chief Executive.

Castro also announced several other key Palace appointments. Jesse Hermogenes Andres was named Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs, while Maria Luwalhati Dorotan Tiuseco was appointed Senior Deputy Executive Secretary. Danielle Marie Rieza-Culangen was designated as Deputy Executive Secretary for General Administration.

Also appointed were Joseph Irvin Obenza as Deputy Executive Secretary for Financial Affairs, Erwin Sta. Ana as Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, and Alemar Mosquito as Assistant Secretary in the Office of the Executive Secretary.
