ABS-CBN appears fully prepared for its long-awaited return to its original television frequency, Channel 2, following the release of an 18-second teaser announcing the free-to-air broadcast of its cable channel, Kapamilya Channel, via ALLTV.
The promotional teaser carried the message, “2gether Forever Kapamilya. Tahanan Natin Ang Isaʼt-Isa,” signaling a symbolic and emotional comeback for the Kapamilya Network more than five years after losing its broadcast franchise.

This development comes after ABS-CBN confirmed, through a disclosure filed with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Wednesday, December 17, that it had entered into a licensing agreement with Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS)—owned by businessman and former lawmaker Manny Villar. The deal allows the Kapamilya Network to air Kapamilya Channel on free-to-air Channel 2 using ALLTV’s broadcast platform.
The move followed the formal conclusion of ABS-CBN’s content partnership with TV5 Network Inc., after the Kapamilya Network settled its outstanding obligations related to blocktime fees. With the partnership ending, ABS-CBN is now consolidating its programming under its own branded free TV platform.
As a result, some of the network’s top-rating and well-loved programs are set to return to Channel 2, including FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, ROJA, What Lies Beneath, It’s Showtime, ASAP, TV Patrol, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Your Face Sounds Familiar, S.O.C.O, Magandang Buhay, Kapamilya Deal or No Deal, Rated Korina, and more.
The “Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV” officially begins airing on January 2, 2026, on free-to-air Channel 2 (analog TV) and digital Channel 16 on digital TV boxes—marking a major milestone in ABS-CBN’s ongoing comeback to Philippine free television.
