TV5 REVEALS TEMPORARY PRIMETIME SCHEDULE STARTING JANUARY 2, 2026

TV5 has officially unveiled the temporary lineup for its weekday primetime block beginning January 2, 2026, following the conclusion of its content partnership with ABS-CBN Corporation.

Based on the promotional pubmat released by the Kapatid Network, the early primetime schedule will largely retain its news-driven structure while introducing adjusted time slots for select entertainment programs.

Leading the primetime block at 5:30 PM is the 30-minute newscast “Una Sa Lahat,” anchored by Jiggy Manicad, which will remain in its current timeslot.

At 6:00 PM, TV5’s flagship newscast “Frontline Pilipinas” continues but with an extended runtime, still anchored by Cheryl Cosim, Julius Babao, and Jervi Li-Wrightson, also known as KaladKaren.

The action-drama teleserye “Totoy Bato,” produced by Studio VIVA and MQuest Ventures, moves to a new 7:30 PM timeslot. The series stars Kiko Estrada, Diego Loyzaga, Claudine Barretto, Mark Anthony Fernandez, and Eula Valdez.

Occupying the 8:30 PM slot is “Cine Cinco Primetime,” a movie block featuring classic Filipino and international films. Kicking off the lineup on Friday, January 2, is the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2nd Best Picture winner “GomBurZa.”

TV5 clarified that “Cine Cinco Primetime” will serve as a temporary program while the network finalizes preparations for “Wilyonaryo,” the upcoming primetime game show of TV host-comedian Willie Revillame.

Meanwhile, the late-night newscast “Frontline Tonight” will also be extended, while “Vibe Nights” remains fixed in its 11:30 PM timeslot.

These programming adjustments come in the wake of the official end of the TV5–ABS-CBN content partnership, which previously occupied the 8:00 PM to 10:45 PM primetime block of the Kapatid Network.
