The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the suspension of the expanded number coding scheme during the holiday season to ease traffic for motorists.
According to the MMDA, the expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on the following dates:
- December 23 (Tuesday)
- December 24 (Wednesday) – Christmas Eve
- December 25 (Thursday) – Christmas Day
- December 29 (Monday) – work suspension in government offices
- December 30 (Tuesday) – Rizal Day
- December 31 (Wednesday) – Last day of the year 2025
- January 1, 2026 (Thursday) – New Year’s Day
- January 2, 2026 (Friday) – work suspension in government offices
The MMDA clarified that number coding is automatically suspended during regular and special non-working holidays.
