President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. called on Filipinos to prioritize health and safety during the Christmas and New Year celebrations by avoiding firecrackers and fireworks.
In a vlog released on Tuesday, December 23, the President encouraged the public to welcome 2026 using safer alternatives such as toy trumpets and other noise-making toys instead of hazardous pyrotechnics.
He also reminded Filipinos to take care of their health, particularly during parties and gatherings, warning against overeating, which often leads to increased cases of heart attacks during the holiday season.
Marcos further urged motorists to be vigilant and practice safe driving amid the busy holiday period.
“Ingat lang po sa pagmamaneho kung saan po kayo pupunta,” he said.
The President concluded by extending his well wishes to Filipinos, hoping for a joyful and peaceful Christmas celebration shared with family and loved ones.
