TV5 is set to bring a new chapter to the acclaimed The Kingdom story with the upcoming drama series The Kingdom: Magkabilang Mundo, expanding on the world first introduced in the The Kingdom film that captivated audiences at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024.
Originally released as an alternate history action-drama film imagining a Philippines that was never colonized, The Kingdom won awards and praise for its bold storytelling, immersive production design, and ensemble cast led by Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual.
Building on that success, The Kingdom: Magkabilang Mundo takes the narrative further into palace intrigue, power struggles, and the complex dynamics of the fictional Kingdom of Kalayaan.
The series will see the return of fan favorites such as Piolo Pascual, Sue Ramirez, and Cristine Reyes, with Derek Ramsay also expected to join the cast as part of the expanded storyline.
