DPWH ANNOUNCES EXTENDED EDSA REHABILITATION SCHEDULES

The Department of Public Works and Highways–National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) announced additional rehabilitation works along major portions of EDSA from December 28, 2025 to January 5, 2026.

In a statement released Wednesday, the DPWH-NCR said the new schedules are on top of previously announced rehabilitation activities set from December 24 to December 27, 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions along the major thoroughfare.

The extended works include concrete reblocking and asphalt overlay on both northbound and southbound lanes. Concrete reblocking will affect several sections, including areas from EDSA corner Taft Avenue to FB Harrison, near the HomeExpo Building Depot, Ayala Underpass, and portions of Roxas Boulevard, Orense, and McKinley.

Asphalt overlay works will also be conducted in multiple segments from Tramo to E. Rodriguez, E. Rodriguez to Kalayaan Avenue, Roxas Boulevard to FB Harrison, and from Palm Drive to the Ayala Underpass, with varying schedules between December 28, 2025 and January 5, 2026.

The DPWH-NCR advised motorists to expect heavy traffic in affected areas and urged the public to use alternative routes as rehabilitation activities continue through the holiday period.
