TV5’s 2026 lineup includes a much-anticipated continuation of one of the standout Filipino teen dramas of recent years—Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side—the second season of the hit series based on the beloved Wattpad story by Lara Flores.

The show is part of Studio VIVA’s online series slate and continues the story that first captured audiences in its 2025 run.
Originally launched as Ang Mutya ng Section E, the series follows Jasper Jean “Jay-Jay” Fernandez Mariano, portrayed by Ashtine Olviga, who finds herself the lone female student in the unruly Section E of a prestigious school, where she must navigate challenges, friendships, and young love.

The show’s first season, which also starred Andres Muhlach as Keifer Watson and Rabin Angeles as Yuri Hanamichi, became a hit online and gained global attention for its engaging mix of school drama, romance, and character interactions.
Building on that success, Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side takes the drama into deeper and darker territory. In this new season, the once light-hearted love triangle and school life scenarios evolve into more intense emotional conflicts and high-stakes storylines.

The narrative delves into unresolved personal struggles, shifting alliances, and dramatic twists that test the characters’ bonds. New cast additions—such as Rhen Escaño as Honey Bee Ryder and Taneo Sebastian as Ryosuke Sato—add complexity and intrigue to the evolving plot.
The series is structured in two parts, with Part 1 having premiered on December 5, 2025, and Part 2 scheduled for June 11, 2026. This format allows the show to explore layered themes and sustain viewer engagement across its run.

Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side continues to stream on the Viva One platform, where fans can watch the drama unfold and follow the characters’ emotional arcs.

With its strong ensemble cast, compelling story progression, and blend of romance, conflict, and drama, Ang Mutya ng Section E: The Dark Side stands out as one of the notable online series contributing to TV5’s expanding content offerings in 2026—bridging traditional broadcast and digital platforms to reach both local and international audiences.
