“CALL ME MOTHER” LEADS MMFF 2025 BOX OFFICE — SOURCES

Family-drama film “Call Me Mother” is reportedly dominating the box office in the first three days of the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), outperforming seven other entries.

According to reliable sources, the movie produced by ABS-CBN Star Cinema, The IdeaFirst Company, and VIVA Films, starring MMFF 2025 Best Actor winner Vice Ganda, Nadine Lustre, and Best Child Performer Lucas Andalio, has earned nearly ₱130 million in ticket sales.

The horror film “Shake Rattle and Roll Evil Origins” by Regal Entertainment ranks a distant second, reportedly grossing around ₱45 million.

Meanwhile, the drama “UnMarry” by Quantum Films and CineKo Productions, starring Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo and awarded 2nd Best Picture at the MMFF 2025 Awards Night, has secured third place.

The competition remains tight for the fourth to seventh positions among “Bar Boys After School,” “Love You So Bad,” MMFF 2025 Best Picture winner “I’mPerfect,” and award-winning film “Manila’s Finest.” The family-drama “Rekonek” trails in eighth place.

MMFF organizers have not released official box-office figures to avoid influencing trends, though Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Romando Artes confirmed that all eight films collectively earned over ₱1.5 million in ticket sales.
