The film “Manila’s Finest”, produced by MQuest Ventures, Cignal Entertainment, and Spring Films, proved that its cast is composed of high-caliber actors.
Beyond winning multiple technical awards and 3rd Best Picture at the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal, the film also received several nominations.
Lead actor Piolo Pascual, who portrayed Homer Magtibay, was nominated in the Best Actor category, which was ultimately awarded to Vice Ganda for the film “Call Me Mother.”
Rising actress Ashtine Olviga, one-half of the phenomenal loveteam AshDres, earned her first MMFF nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category alongside industry veterans Janice de Belen, Solenn Heusaff, Sylvia Sanchez, and Odette Khan, who won for “Bar Boys After School.”
Cedrick Juan, Best Actor winner of MMFF 2023, was nominated for Best Supporting Actor, while director Raymond Red earned a nomination in the Best Director category.
The film’s writers, Moira Lang, Michiko Yamamoto, and Sherad Anthony Sanchez, were also nominated for Best Screenplay.
“Manila’s Finest” continues to be screened in 57 cinemas nationwide, giving audiences a chance to witness its compelling story and exceptional performances.
