President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has yet to see the so-called “Cabral files,” according to Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.
In a media interview on Monday, December 29, Castro said even Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has not seen or authenticated the documents, which are currently under investigation by the Office of the Ombudsman.
Castro assured the public that President Marcos will not spare anyone implicated in the documents, even if they are Cabinet members. She also said Malacañang has yet to determine the progress of the Ombudsman’s investigation.
The “Cabral files” refer to documents allegedly handed to Batangas 1st District Representative Leandro Leviste by the late Public Works Undersecretary Catalina Cabral. The files reportedly detail questionable “insertions” in the 2025 infrastructure budget and implicate several high-ranking officials.
