Malacañang downplayed speculation of another Cabinet shakeup, saying there is no information to support claims of an imminent reorganization in President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s Official Family.
“Wala pa po tayong natatanggap na anumang balita. Baka may nagpapakalat pero as of now, wala po,” Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Tuesday, dismissing reports as rumor-driven.
The remarks came after claims that Marcos was “preparing his most extensive Cabinet shake-up yet” affecting at least nine officials.
Castro noted that while Cabinet members remain under continuous performance review, any decision rests solely with the President.
“Depende na po ’yan kung ano ang makikita ng Pangulo,” she said.
Marcos previously ordered courtesy resignations in May, leading to a major reshuffle, followed by another in November when Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman were replaced after being linked to the flood control scandal.
Palace officials stressed that while reviews are ongoing, talk of a fresh revamp remains speculative.
