PALACE: PBBM WILL RESPECT DUE PROCESS ON VP SARA IMPEACHMENT

Malacañang on Monday said President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will respect due process if a new impeachment complaint is filed against Vice President Sara Duterte.

Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro made the remarks when asked about the possibility of another complaint against the President’s former ally and running mate.

She recalled a conversation with Marcos last week, during which he reportedly said that any impeachment complaint against VP Sara should be handled in the same manner as the ongoing probe into the allegedly anomalous flood control projects.

Bicol Saro Partylist Representative Terry Ridon earlier noted that a new impeachment complaint could be filed even before the Supreme Court resolves the House of Representatives’ appeal of the tribunal’s ruling that voided last year’s case for violating the one-year ban on successive filings.
